By making a submission (“Submission”) to the Veterinary Visionaries challenge event (“Program”), you agree to abide by these Submission Terms. All decisions related to the Submission shall be made by the Veterinary Visionaries collaboration, including its founding organizations (the “Collaborative”) and/or its designees, which decisions shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Program.


WHO CAN SUBMIT: You must be at least 18 years of age. The Program is void where prohibited by law. Program is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.



Submission may not contain, and you hereby represent and warrant that it does not contain, any content that:

  • infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity;
  • is sexually explicit or suggestive; obscene or offensive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group endorses or endorses any form of hate or hate group; profane;
  • promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may be unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message;
  • defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about the Collaborative, its collaborating organizations and sponsors, its products or services or other people or companies;
  • contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including music, lyrics, dialogue), without permission, to the extent permission is necessary;
  • contains any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses;
  • contains the names of any person, or otherwise identifies any person, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead;
  • communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will with which the Collaborative wishes to associate; and/or
  • violates any law, rule or regulation.

The Collaborative may remove or cause the Submission to be removed for any reason, including, but not limited to, if any Submission contains any of the above prohibited content, as determined by the Collaborative in its sole discretion.


SUBMISSION REVIEW: Making a Submission as part of this Program does not guarantee that your Submission (or any Submission) will be selected. Any Submissions selected, will be selected by the Collaborative, in its sole and absolute discretion through evaluation processes and criteria that are of its own design and choosing. The Collaborative may remove any Submission from the Website at any time and for any reason. Please understand that if your Submission is selected you will have no approvals over the methods undertaken by the Collaborative to make that Submission a reality. The Collaborative reserves the right to make whatever changes to a Submission it selects as it sees fit, in its sole discretion, when making it a reality.


By making a Submission in this Program, you acknowledge the Collaborative may receive other ideas (or employees of companies participating in the Collaborative or third party independent contractors may create their own ideas) that are similar or identical in one or more respects to the idea submitted by you. You acknowledge that the Collaborative does not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to the Collaborative, or developed by employees of companies participating in the Collaborative, or obtained from sources other than you, including those submitted by someone else as part of this Program. You further agree that the Collaborative shall not have any liability to you for any direct, indirect, contributory, vicarious, secondary or other infringement or protection of any copyright in or to your submission.


SELECTION NOTIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: If your Submission is selected, you will be notified by email. Exact details, including any obligations required of you by the Collaborative, if any, for implementing your Submission will be provided at time of notification. Any failure to fulfill any obligation imposed on you by the Collaborative may result in your Submission remaining unfulfilled. If your Submission is selected, you may be required to sign a liability/publicity release as well as additional documentation required by the Collaborative. If you fail to return all required documentation within the time period specified by the Collaborative, or you cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period or the Collaborative determines that you have not complied with these Submission Terms, your Submission may remain unfulfilled.


GRANT OF RIGHTS: By making a Submission, you agree and hereby grant to the Collaborative and its participating companies, designees, successors, licensees and assigns (collectively, “Licensed Parties”) an unlimited, perpetual, irrevocable, assignable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to reproduce, distribute, create derivative ideas and works of, edit, alter, post, combine with other materials, exploit and otherwise use the materials submitted as part of the Submission, and all elements embodied therein, in whole or in part, together with your name, biographical information and image, in any manner and in any and all media now known or hereafter devised throughout the universe for any purpose whatsoever, including, without limitation, for commercial purposes, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, you or any third party.


RELEASE: By making a Submission, you agree to release, discharge, hold harmless and indemnify the Collaborative, its participating companies, sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind (including, without limitation, arising from claims based upon copyright infringement, trademark infringement, invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the Program and/or the selection of any Submission by the Collaborative.
